What is the booking procedure?
Decide on the date of your holiday and the number of people in your party and we will help you to decide which boat is best suited to your requirements. When this is settled we will prepare your contract and forward it to you. As soon as you sign the contract and return it with your deposit the booking is confirmed. The outstanding balance is due four weeks prior the start of your holiday.

How far ahead should I book?
The earlier you book the more likely you are to secure the boat and time period you require. As an added incentive: If you confirm your booking prior to 31st January you will benefit from a 10%”early booking” discount. Leaving things till the last minute is risky – the most popular dates and boats go early!

How can I get provisions?
Our base is in the center of Preveza and it is close to several supermarkets. This means you can do your shopping upon arrival. If you prefer, or if you expect to arrive when the shops are closed, we can handle your shopping and have it delivered to your boat. Simply complete the provisioning list, send it to us, and we will make sure that everything you asked for is on board.

Is the boat full of diesel and water on handover?
Yes, both diesel and water tanks are full before you depart from our base. You will be able to find water to refill your tank in most ports in the area. The diesel will have to be refilled at our base upon your return.

What time can I get on board at my charter start and when should I return to the base?
On the first day of your charter, you are able to board no later than 17:00. This is to allow time for the boat to be cleaned, serviced and have any essential work carried out. This should be regarded as exceptional. Under normal circumstances and depending on your arrival time, you will probably be on board much sooner than that. Around midday, or after lunch at a local taverna, is when most people set sail. For the same reason, the yacht should return to base the day before the end of the charter period, latest 18:00. You will off course spend the night on board and should be ready to leave the boat about 09:00 on the following day.

Shall we hire a skipper?
If you don’t feel ready to charter a bareboat by yourself, then yes, a skipper is the answer. More importantly, the skipper will help you learn and understand any aspect you are not comfortable with, so you will have more confidence to plan your next sailing trip. Alternatively you may wish to hire a skipper so that you can really relax and leave working the boat to someone else. Either way, it can easily be arranged.

If we have a skipper, can we tell him where to go?
Of course you can! The skipper will suggest places in accordance with the time available, the weather and the miles you wish to sail each day. You will make the final decisions. After all, it is your cruise we are talking about!

There is parking space within the marina where you can leave your car, (at your own risk) while sailing, and our staff will keep an eye on your vehicle whilst you are away. If you require extra-security, we can arrange your car to be in a protected garage. In general, we have no car crime problems in the area.
